On the 28th of June
Franz Ferdinand was riding with his wife and a men with a gun came along and shot him. Then world war 1 began and many countries were involved in a bad and sad war.
The New Zealand and Australian troops were called the Anzacs, that is why we wear the poppy to remember them.
Many flags today, will be flown at half mast because if we look at it then we will remember what happen in the world war one.
